I essentially had to get everyone to attack me and keep on running up to people in combat and bop them on the head with a mace so they would turn away from kuno's men and start attacking me while training the rest of everyone to also attack me. I think it is possible to have everyone survive, but There is a lot of RNG paired with good distracting to get that to work.
